clear cache in Oracle EBS R12

In this post,
I will demonstrate how to clear cache for middle Tier application in Oralce EBS R12.2.  In Oracle EBS environment whenever we perform any changes related to profiles or html pages then these changes will not be effective immediately. Oracle EBS has mechanism of caching the objects in Middle Tiers and so to enable the new setting we may need to clear the cache.
We can clear cache using “Functional Administrator” responsibility. The navigation screens are same in EBS R12.1 as well.
1. Login to EBS as sysadmin user
2. Navigate to “Functional Administrator Responsibility

c1

– click on functonal administrator Home page
3.  From the functional administrator home page click on “core services”
c2

From the “core services” page click on “caching Framework”
4.  From the caching framework page click on “Global configuration”

C3
On this page you will see all cached items in middle Tier. Here we can delete only selected cached Items or we can delete all cached Items for the Middle Tiers.
5. Click on “Clear All Cache”  to delete all cached Items.
c4

– Clear all cached Items may impact performance. Accessing of Applications and other middle Tier may be slow for some time.
6. Verify that all cached items are cleared.

c5

7. Try to access the Application to verify changes are effective and if still facing issues then try restarting the middle Tier Servers.
